President’s Message – November

Since blanket rezoning was proposed earlier this year, we’ve heard from hundreds of people across our community about densification – both good and bad.  As a Community Association, we officially stated our concerns with blanket rezoning due to the significant effort our community members put into crafting the approved Local Area Plan, which supported smart and targeted densification.  We continue to do our best to support the voices we hear in our community.  With blanket rezoning now approved, many mature neighbourhoods are beginning to take steps to protect the character of their neighbourhoods through the pursuit of Restrictive Covenants (RCs), which may restrict future property owners from changing the fundamental character ofexisting single-family dwellings.  At the request of residents in our community, our CA is offering free open houses on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 6:30-8:00pm, and Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 1:00-2:30pm.  If you are interested in learning more about RCs, please feel free to attend one of the open houses in person.
