Our mature tree canopy is in crisis. Over 50% of our trees are 50+ years old and reaching end-of-life. There are 42 trees scheduled for removal in 2025 due to disease and age.
New trees need deep weekly watering, especially during Calgary's dry periods. Look for orange tags marking new plantings.
Avoid compacting soil around trees. Don't drive or park on root zones, and be careful with landscaping equipment.

Help fund additional trees beyond what the City provides. Every $1,000 plants and maintains one large tree.
Zoom in to see every tree on public land in our community. Explore different species and see each tree’s assessed value to the community.
Our goal is to raise $100,000 to plant 100 additional large caliper trees
