The children’s playground at 347 99 Avenue SE has been one of the most heavily used in the Willow Park community. It is now almost 25 years old and is reaching the end of its useful life. The Willow Ridge Community Association is planning to redevelop and expand the playground for children 2-7 years old.
The redeveloped playground has been designed to enhance children’s learning and social skills and to meet the latest in provincial playground safety standards. Removal of the existing playground is planned for early September and construction of the new playground is scheduled for Sept 15 & 16, 2023. This playground upgrade has been made possible with grants from the Community Facility Enhancement Program of Alberta and from the Calgary Parks Foundation.
