We heard such great feedback from local artists, young and old, about our neighbourhood art walk last June that we’ve decided to make this an annual event! This year we have added a new element. Join us on Sunday, August 22nd for the Willow Ridge 2021 Art Walk and Picnic in the Park. Show off your artistic talent to your neighbours in this year’s Art Walk! Register to have your art display added to our map by August 20th.
We are excited to be partnering with the Delta Calgary South for our Picnic in the Park portion of this event! Bring your friends and family down to the Willow Ridge Community Centre for games, art activities and a delicious meal. The deadline to order food is August 16th.
With the support of the Federation of Calgary Communities #ActivateYYC grant, the WRCA has Free Art Kits available for the first 30 households to order one below. Limited to one per household, the kits are available to those attending the Picnic in the park who would like to participate in a community art project.

Can I showcase my art at the community centre instead of my home?
Please email us and we can discuss arrangements!
Do I need to buy a lunch?
The picnic is a bonus to this event! Feel free to bring your own lunch but why not treat yourself? We’ve partnered with the Delta Calgary South for this yummy menu.
Will substitutions be available for the lunches?
Substitutions will be available for dairy allergies. Gluten free crackers and bread available upon request. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee there will not be cross-contamination.
How many people does the charcuterie board feed?
It’s the perfect size for 1 – 2 people. 4 or more would be ideal for a snack.
What time can I pick up my lunch?
Pick up time will start at noon!
Is there a deadline?
Please place your picnic order by August 16th. The deadline to register for the Art Walk is August 20th.
Do I have to be a member to partake?
Membership is not required to partake in the lunch or art walk. We recommend stopping by the Community Centre if you have any questions about memberships and we can show you how your membership helps support the community!
